Kikyo-The Undead Miko Priestess
Kikyo is the priestess who protected the village Kagome appeared in. She died 50 years ago when she sealed Inuyasha to the Go-shinboku tree. the Shikon no Tama was burned with her. Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo (This is quite obvious concerning that the Shikon no Tama fell out of Kagome when Mistress Centipede bit her).
The Kikyo around NOW is different. She's rather evil and she'll hurt anyone who gets in her way. Though she used to love Inuyasha, all she feels for him now is hate. I'm not sure, but I THINK that she's working with Naraku. I'm trying to find out.
Kikyo looks so much like Kagome, that sometimes I wonder if I'm seeing double on the show. The only way to tell them apart is clothes and voices (I think). Kagome wears the traditional sailor-suit Japanese school uniform, and Kikyo wears a kimono. Sometimes Kagome puts on a kimono though, and then it REALLY gets confusing.
The undead Kikyo is a real B***h. Like I said before, she has absolutely no problem whatsoever hurting someone she doesn't like. This creats a small problem for Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippou, and Inuyasha because she doesn't like them.
Kikyo is a master of the bow, and she has mystic abilities that ward off youkais. She was the village priestess and protectress. She died the same day that she trapped Inuyasha. The Jewel of Four Souls (Umm, still wondering why it's called that.) was burned with her body. Unfortunately her bones were left so some witch was able to steal them and bring Kikyo back to life.
I used to be a Kikyo fan when I first started watching the series. (which wasn't too long ago ;_;) I pretty much hate her now. She's really REALLY mean and she stole part of Kagome's soul (a part of Kikyo resided in Kagome because Kagome is the reincarnation of her. When Kikyo was brought back to life she needed that part so Kagome lost part of her soul.) My friend Lain really likes Kikyo though. She's kind of evil too, and she thinks Kikyo looks like Mistress Nine from Sailor Moon. (Lain's a really big saturn fan. She thinks Rin looks like baby Hotaru so she likes Rin too.) As for me, I really can't find any resemblance. ^_^;; *sweatdrops*
